The St. Thomas University baseball team is back in South Florida after a historic run at the Avista-NAIA World Series. The Bobcats played for a national championship for the first time in school history, falling just short of the national title in a 10-7 defeat to Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho. Under the guidance of Head Coach Jorge Perez, the Bobcats finished the historic season 48-18. At the NAIA World Series, the ninth-seeded Bobcats lost their first game in the 10-team, double-elimination tournament, but would not be denied.
