The St. Brendan High School varsity cheer team won the state title in the Class 1A Extra Large Varsity Division of the FHSAA Competitive Cheerleading Championships at the Sun Dome at the University of South Florida in Tampa. It marks the first FHSAA state title won by a Miami-Dade school in competitve cheerleading.
